The Network’s primary mission is the development of Arab American community-based nonprofit organizations that understand and meet the needs and represent the concerns of Arab Americans at the local level and collectively address these issues on the national level.
To support its mission, NNAAC has three main programs:
- Organizational Development: A key element of NNAAC’s mission is supporting the growth and sustainability of our member organizations. Our Organizational Development program helps members through one-on-one technical assistance, an annual national conference, identifying local and online trainings, annual capacity building grants, and a scholarship fund to attend relevant trainings.
- Advocacy & Civic Engagement: As service providers and grassroots organizations rooted in their com
munities, NNAAC members are uniquely positioned to tackle the complex, multi-faceted issues facing the Arab-American community. The network’s advocacy & civic engagement program focuses on the following areas: immigrant rights, civil liberties, access to human services, and support for national service programs.
- Community Service:
As grassroots organizations, fostering community service is at the heart of our work. To cultivate volunteerism and engagement within the Arab American community, NNAAC leads the Arab American Resource Corps, a national AmeriCorps program, and the annual National Arab American Service Day.
